This adjustable halogen desk lamp is perfect for a computer work station, it casts a very powerful, focused light. It has a 27 inch flexible arm so if you need to highlight paperwork on the desk surface it can be manipulated to do so without causing glare onto your computer screen. Halogen light bulbs are a type of incandescent light bulb, just like a regular filament bulb. However, the difference is that in a halogen bulb, the filament is surrounded by inert halogen gas. This results in the filament burning brighter and for longer than a traditional light bulb.
The light produced by a halogen desk lamp bulb is extremely bright and white. This may make them less than ideal for spaces where you are trying to create a cozy, subdued mood but for use in a desk lamp where you need bright, concentrated light to avoid getting eye strain, they are ideal. If you need to illuminate a large part of your desk at one time, however, they may not be the most appropriate choice.
They are also very efficient as they can last up to 3,000 hours, easily three times longer than a standard bulb and yet they consume up to 20% less energy.
